Child Care Services

Military Drop-In Child Care

Skies The Limit under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides hourly childcare services to Veteran patients’ dependents (infants and children up to 12 years old) while seeing VA healthcare providers (scheduled appointments only) in order to reduce the difficulty patients may have in keeping their appointments because of unavailable or inadequate childcare support. Infants (six weeks to one year), as well as children (toddler to 12 years), are allowed for drop off at the VA Child Waiting Center in Buffalo, NY and Tacoma, WA (awarded March 2015). Since taking over operation appointments have increased at a combined 125% at both facilities.

Under the Department of Defense (Air and National Guard Units, Army and Air Force Reserves as well activity duty units) and Homeland Security (U.S. Coast Guard) Skies the Limit Academy also provides drop-in child care through Yellow Ribbon (The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program is a DoD-wide effort to promote the well-being of National Guard and Reserve members, their families, and communities, by connecting them with resources throughout the deployment cycle.) and Strong Bond Events.

Our team at Yellow Ribbon and Strong Bond Events are given an estimate of children that we need to take care of. We then provide arts, crafts, educational games while their parents are engaged in many valuable seminars within the hotel or conference center.

Traditional Day Care Services

Our program is developed to fit the lifestyle of active families’. We provide an atmosphere that feels a “home away from home” for your child. With our hands-on approach and positive interactions between teachers and peers, your child will be comfortable to experiment, evaluate, and discuss their findings. This helps strengthen the critical growth in cognitive and emotional fundamental development. Promoting positive self-image, self-discipline, and cooperation in each child is fostered by our learning environment that is based on age-appropriate practices and activities.

Skies The Limit Academy has experienced childcare professionals who are proactive in providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment that gives your child the confidence to explore and learn. Keeping an open line of communication between a childcare professional and parent is important to us and we are sensitive to any concerns. We excel at maintaining an atmosphere of confidence and trust.
